Chapter 19

Savanna

Present Day.

He’s not going to give up. This is about more than just setting an example. I was taken from him twice. Once by his brother and now by Weston. I’m his prize, and nothing will stop him from getting me.

A fucking prize to be fought over. People are dying for me. Because of me. There’s no easy way to let this go. I can’t and won’t walk away and bury my head in the sand.

Weston’s curled up around me; his hand is resting on our unborn child. Protecting us even in his sleep. I know my thoughts are scaring him.

He just doesn’t understand that it’s for everyone. I know what I need to do. I need to give myself over to Besin and then kill him. He needs to be purged from this earth. He’s a plague, a disgusting rotting poison. And he’s polluting our air.

“Did you sleep at all?” Weston mumbles.

My sigh is filled with both exhaustion and love. I love this man. In the short time that I’ve known him, I’ve fallen crazy in love with him.

“No,” I admit the words, even though I know it will upset him. There can’t be any secrets between us.

“It’ll all be okay, Hellcat,” he tries to convince me.

I know he believes that, but I know something bad is going to happen.

“He’s not going to give up,” I tell him again.

His hand gently rubs circles on my still flat tummy.

“I won’t let him have you,” Weston says sternly.

My eyes fill with tears. I will gladly surrender if it means that I can save Wes.

“You will come first, always.” It’s a fact, and I’m just acknowledging what I believe to be true.

“I won't ever let you go.” Weston states.

I roll over and face him. He’s so beautiful it hurts.

“I love you,” I tell him sweetly.

He looks at me like he’s trying to read me. Like he’s trying to see if there’s anything I’m not telling him. Well, I’m going to see Besin, and I’m going to kill him. It’s only a matter of when.

“Don’t get any crazy ideas. We both need you.” Weston informs me.

Again, those stupid tears. I’m like one month pregnant, and I’m already a leaky faucet.

“I need you,” I tell him, and I really do need him. I need him to be safe because I can’t face a world without him.

His lips slam down hard on mine as his fingers reach up and pinch my nipples. Giving the now hard buds a little tug.

I moan into our joined lips. Weston’s hand slowly caresses my sides before reaching my thigh and tugging it up over his hip. He plunges deep inside of me and the scream I release probably terrified someone. If anyone was listening.

My head falls back as he slowly pulls out, only to slam into me harder. This causes my tits to bounce hard. My nails scrape his scalp as I comb my fingers through his hair.

Another moan leaves my parted lips as he pulls back and slams into me harder.
